About Alder Valley Brass Band
Alder Valley Brass is one of the South East's finest brass bands, and provides music to enhance any occasion.
For more than 50 years Alder Valley Brass has performed at venues ranging from London's Royal Albert Hall, Windsor Castle, Epsom race course and Hampton Court Palace, to many of the UK's famous parks & bandstands. The band has also undertaken many foreign tours including Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Belgium.
Alder Valley Brass has extensive experience of TV, radio and theatre including the "Aldershot Brass Ensemble" sketch with the Two Ronnies and the BBC sitcom "Oh Happy Band," and was featured in 14 consecutive performances of the hit play "Brassed Off" at theatres in Woking and Richmond.
Much of the band's concert work is in support of local charities and there have been proud moments working with Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion, charities selected by the Mayor of Rushmoor at concerts, as well as The SSAFA and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.....

Alder Valley Brass Brand is a registered charity (Number 1155512) and relies on public donations of which we also raise fund for local and national charities. A few of these are Phylis Tuckwell Hospice, Help For Heroes, The SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity) as well as other local charities. Alder Valley Brass rely on public donations though concerts and public appearances and please feel free to use our Easy Fundraising Site or donate via our Paypal site

Congratulations to the Band and Lee! The results are in at the London and Southern Counties Region of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. 17 bands were competing in the 1st section.

New Musical Director Of Alder Valley Brass
Alder Valley Brass would like to warmly welcome and introduce our new Musical Director, Mr Lee Woodward.
Lee is an experienced Musician, who has directed bands since 2007. His most recent success has been conducting both Saint Sebastian's and Staines Lammas Bands. In 2016, Lee led Saint Sebastian’s to their first ever appearance at the Area Contest second section finals. He is now looking forward to the challenge of taking Alder Valley Brass forward, building on the strong foundations left by Mr Roger Burke.
Having had lots of experience playing in bands, Lee joined the Army as a musician, serving firstly with the Band of The Kings Regiment, before successfully auditioning for a post with the Band of The Irish Guards. Lee was later posted to the Band of The Logistic Corps. Retirement from the Army came in 2014.
Lee is now looking forward to the challenge of preparing the band for the Area Contest, held in March, as well as a busy summer season.

Alder Valley Brass presently have vacancies for Sop, Bb Cornet, Bass Trombone and also a kit percussion players, cornet player will be seated according to ability.
Our friendly band meets for rehearsals on Monday and Thursday evenings at the All Hallows School Weybourne Lane, Farnham Surrey GU9 9HF and offer a good mix of contest/concert work and social events.

Phyllis Tuckwell Presentation
During 2016 Alder Valley Brass made collections for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care in Farnham. These collections have come to £1163.56.
Most of this money was collected during December, when the band played carols and donations were collected.
Gemma Craig, Community Fundraising Manager, for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care attended rehearsals on on Monday 23 January, when a presentation of the cheque took place.
